February 9, 2008 Boston BioCom announced that it has acquired exclusive licenses from Hormezis LLC that cover the use of lasers and other technologies for improving immune response to vaccines and for direct human immunotherapy. Many years of research on how lasers can modify the immune response in the skin has demonstrated that such lasers can potentially enhance immune activity appropriate for both prophylactic and therapeutic vaccination, while minimizing the risk of systemic side-effects common to many injected adjuvants.
